Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, songwriters

Barry Mann (born Barry Imberman, 9 February 1939, Brooklyn, New York) is an American songwriter, and part of one of the most prolific songwriting partnerships in the world of rock music with his partner and wife, Cynthia Weil.

Weil (born October 18, 1940, New York) was trained as an actress and dancer but soon demonstrated a songwriting ability that led to her collaboration with Barry Mann whom she would eventually marry. Together, Mann & Weil became one of the most important songwriting teams during the emergence of rock and roll.
